Day 1 – 11 Oct | Departure for ChinaYour journey begins as we depart for China, ready to immerse ourselves in the rich traditions of Tai Chi, Qigong, and Chinese culture. Day 2 – Arrival in Shanghai (L)Arrive in the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy time to rest and recover from the flight, or explore nearby sights if we arrive early—Shanghai’s skyline, historic streets, and lively neighbourhoods offer plenty to discover. Day 3 – Shanghai → Huai'An (B, L, D)After breakfast, check out and take a high-speed train to Huai'an City. Our first cultural exchange begins with a morning session alongside local Tai Chi and Qigong practitioners. Enroute, we will visit an old town to experience the southern culture and beautiful alleyway. Day 4 – Huai'an (B, L, D)Start the day with another refreshing Tai Chi and Qigong exchange in a local park. The rest of the day is dedicated to exploring Jiangyin’s cultural and historical highlights, offering deeper insight into the region’s heritage. Day 5 – Huai'an → Nanchang (B)Begin with morning Tai Chi and Qigong training (7:00–8:30am). After breakfast, enjoy some local sightseeing before boarding a high‑speed train to Nanchang. Here, we settle into the Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where we’ll spend several days learning medical Qigong, exploring TCM traditions, and engaging with professors and students. Day 6 – Nanchang (B, L)Morning practice (7:00–8:30am) sets a peaceful rhythm for the day. We then visit the magnificent Teng Wang Pavilion, one of China’s most celebrated ancient structures, overlooking the river that flows through the city. The afternoon continues with visits to local landmarks, offering a deeper appreciation of Nanchang’s cultural beauty. Days 7–9 – Jiangxi University of TCM (B, L, D)Three immersive days of Qigong training and TCM learning await. Highlights include:
Accommodation is on campus, giving you a rare and authentic experience of Chinese university life—an opportunity to connect, learn, and see China beyond the tourist path. Day 10 – Nanchang → Changsha (B, D)After breakfast, take a high‑speed train to Changsha. Our cultural exploration begins with the extraordinary Mawangdui Tomb discoveries, including the remarkably preserved Lady Xin Zhui, whose 2,000‑year‑old remains offer a profound window into ancient China. Dinner follows before checking into the hotel for a restful night. Day 11 – Changsha (B, L, D)Today we visit the renowned Hunan Museum, home to the treasures of the Mawangdui tombs. Marvel at exquisite artifacts, silk manuscripts, lacquerware, and the legendary Lady Xin Zhui—one of the most astonishing archaeological finds in the world. This day offers a deep encounter with China’s ancient wisdom, artistry, and cultural spirit. Day 12 – Changsha → Wudang Mountain (B, L, D)Begin with morning Tai Chi and Qigong practice (7:00–8:30am). After checking out, we board a high‑speed train to the sacred Wudang Mountains, birthplace of Tai Chi and Daoist internal arts. Arrive in the evening and settle into our hotel in Wudang Town. Day 13 – Wudang Mountain (B, L, D)After breakfast, ascend the mountain to visit the serene Golden Summit. From this sacred peak, take in sweeping views of mist‑covered ridges and ancient temples. We travel by cable car both ways. Tonight, we stay in a peaceful hotel on the mountain itself. Day 14 – Wudang Mountain (B, L, D)Start the morning with Tai Chi and Qigong practice at the historic Purple Heaven Palace, a revered Daoist temple. After a traditional Daoist vegetarian lunch, we explore the tranquil Carefree Valley, known for its harmony with nature. Return to Wudang Town in the late afternoon. Day 15 – Wudang Town (B, L, D)After breakfast, descend to Wudang Town and join the lively Wudang Tai Chi Festival. This joyful gathering brings together practitioners from across China to share skills, exchange experiences, and celebrate the spirit of Tai Chi. In the evening, enjoy free time to wander the town’s vibrant streets and soak in the local atmosphere. Day 16 – Wudang → Shenzhen (B)Travel by coach to Xiangyang Airport for a flight to Shenzhen, one of China’s most dynamic modern cities and a symbol of the country’s economic transformation. Day 17 – Shenzhen (B)A free day to explore Shenzhen at your own pace—visit museums, parks, shopping districts, or simply relax and enjoy the city’s modern charm. Perfect for last‑minute souvenirs. Day 18 – Departure from ShenzhenWe fly home today after a meaningful journey filled with cultural exchange, practice, and unforgettable experiences. For those with extra time, we can help arrange an optional visit to Hong Kong, the “Pearl of the Orient,” for further sightseeing and exploration.
